is it hard to tulip tree wood i have a tree that i cut down . help

I have a tulip wood is hard to carve. If so how do read the grain.

Are you talking about tulip poplar or something different? Tulip poplar isn't particularly hard wood, but I believe the grain is "interlaced" or whatever such that it tears out more easily when carving. I'm not sure if that's what you're asking about or not.

Unless you are just a bad typer (like me ) I feel a language barrier thing here...where are your from ? If you are from south America (or at least the wood is)...yep it is hard . Like Frank said tulip poplar like we are familiar with is not hard. Does your wood look like this ?
