Wood shaper vs router/router table

I found a shop fox 1.5 hp wood shaper with 300$ worth of bits for 600$ used 1time or should I spend that $$ on a KREG table with a heavy duty 3+hp router...?

get a HD router and table

That shaper is a mixed bag. It's not enough power for production and probably has a 1/2" arbor not that many cutters, and not fast enough RPMs for router bits...

Just get a big router table and a 3 1/4 HP Porter Cable router. A lift like a JessEm would be good. That's what I have and what a great setup it is.

Horse and a half shaper can't be much. Ours is 3 and could use more sometimes. $300 worth of cutters maybe two sets.

Without endorsing the Kreg table, I can say I'd pass on the shaper.

For $600 you can add shaper tool to your table saw and buy a router and router table. Or you can come close.

You then would have more versatility.
