Wood identification please

I bought this desk from an estate sale. I needed a new desk and I thought this one would be nice to break down and refinish/redesign.

Since it was online I couldn't see what kind of wood it was, or even if it was solid. I saw dovetail joints on the drawers so I figured it was at least semi-well made.

Anywho.

I started breaking it down today and I can't figure out what the heck the legs are made of. They sanded down like rosewood, it smelled like walnut, and looked like mahogany when I wiped it down with a damp cloth.

The top hasn't been sanded yet but I guess I'll ask to confirm what I think it is.

HALP!

It smells exactly like walnut. I've just never had walnut with that much red in it before.

If it's all the same wood then the top of the table is figured walnut. The overall color is hard to call. The table must have been in the sun a lot and bleached it.
