Wheels and spokes

ADMIN....... please delete this post, I can't find a way to delete it.

I have a friend that wants me to repair two wheels for her antique wagon.
I know I will have to replace the spokes. Plan on using 1/2" oak dowel. One end is half inch which goes into the hub. The other end is 5/16" which goes into the wood part of the wheel. The wheel has a metal band on the outside and has five segments to insert the spokes into. My plan is to remove the segments and insert the spokes and then replace the metal band on the outside and screw it to the segments.

I am not a wheelright, but that is the only way I see that it can be done. Do you agree or disagree?
