What's the best way to cut this joint?

I am trimming a 3/4" walnut ply table top with 2" wide solid walnut. Unsure how to achieve even depth of cut in those slots on mitered corners? Or even what is the best tool/bit for the for the job.

I have an Amana box cutter set, with 2 wing cutters of a few different kerfs, and an assortment of bearings of different diameters. But it is new to me, given to me by a retiring woodworker friend, I'm not even sure the best way to use it.

Open to all suggestions on cutting the slots, splines, and my glue up. (I'll have to work very fast as these solid edges will be biscuit joined on all four sides in addition to gluing up the splines). Many thanks!!!

I'd do it on my table saw. A tenoning jig would work best, but if you don't have one, just make simple jig to hold the workpiece safely.

Slotting bit will work, nice and slow so you don't run off and around the sides.

I use a 1/4" spline cutter on my router.

If you don't have time to do it right the first time, when will you have time to do it over?
