Types of wood.

With a new hardwood supplier in my town and with the cooler weather coming up, my woodworking itch is coming back. Lately I've been wanting to experiment with a few different types of wood, and was curious to see if anyone had any experience with these woods. So far,

I've decided on Elm, Sycamore, and Mulberry.

Has anyone worked with these, oh so, how are they to work with?

I've turned all three. In my experience, sycamore was boring, but it was probably just the pieces that I got. Mine were pretty plain. Mulberry was pretty and turned well. The elm I worked with was a piece of burl and was a bit stringy but it was a very pretty piece of wood. I haven't worked with any of them for anything other than turning.
