Solid Wood Cabinets Online ?

Looking to buy one or two kitchen base cabinets with 4 drawers. Need one 10 inch wide,
and another 24 or 36 inch wide.

Shopped around big box stores, but I'm not interested in the particle board construction.

I just need some simple cabinets, preferably with plywood side walls. I already have
oak faces for the exposed sides.

Haven't had much luck looking online - everyone wants to sell an entire kitchen - not
just a couple pieces.

thanks for any leads ! dmypub

You might look for custom cabinet manufacturers in your area. There is bound to be one to service home builders in the area.

@Steve Neul's idea about custom cabinets is a good one, but may cost more than you want to spend.

Where I live (California), you can find find many sources of good quality modular cabinets made from plywood with decent finishes. You choose the modules you want according to their dimensions. You cut panels and moldings to hide the gaps, if any. You can order as few or as many modules as desired, and top them how you want.

I assume that you can find something similar where you live. Construction quality can vary. Look at the joinery and the finishes.

Go to a kitchen and bath cabinet store

My local cabinet store has samples of all their line and catalogues from which to choose additional sizes. I bought an entire kitchen, 2 baths and pantry from him, about 14K worth. I could spec my sizes by width, type and number of drawers, shelves and door type.

Where are you from?

My cabinets were made by:

Or try a place like this:

The answer to your question will only be as detailed and specific as the question is detailed and specific. Good questions also include a sketch or a photo that illustrates your issue. (:< D)

I sold factory and custom cabinets for about 2-1/2 years. The carcass for both was high quality plywood. If you are looking for solid wood cabinets, be prepared to spend a lot of $$$$ as this will more than likely be custom cabinets. Good luck and let us know what you find as a reference for others.

Yes, most in stock cabs are going to be the cheaper ones.

The premium line of cabs at Home Depot would be worth looking at.

That said, particle board doesn't necessarily mean its a cheap cabinet. Its more about the hardware than anything.
