Scrap wood

Looking to get a some pieces of scrap wood. I want several different types, i.e. cherry, oak, poplar, walnut, etc. They can be small pieces, because I plan on cutting them down to about 1"x6" pieces to put together for some drawer faces. Any idea where I can get some scrap pieces like this and about how much it will cost me?

Check with a cabinet shop in your area. If there are other woodworking businesses near you, give them a call.

+1 And to seal the deal, don't call on the phone. Go in person to the office and ask them if you can come by periododicly with your brooms and sweep up in exchange for some scrapes and cutoffs.
