Sawdust cleanup

How many of you have a dedicated system for sawdust and how many use a shop-vac (or similar) to collect the dust?

I'm thinking with my volume of dust I'll be going a nice Ship-Vac (or similar).

Sanding produces the finest and worst dust for your lungs. You'll want some sort of dedicated dust collector for your sander(s). The chips from the table saw, jointer, planer, router, are large enough that they can be shoveled up or vacuumed up, but it's the sanding dust that makes people sick and causes lung problems. If all you are running is a quarter-sheet or random-orbit sander, get a downdraft sanding table and hook it up to the shop vac, and make sure the sanders have dust bags on them. Otherwise, if you have a big edge or drum or belt sander, you're gonna need some dedicated dust collection.
