I don't get Velocity, shame too cause I love WW shows. Other than American WW and Woodsmith (both on PBS here) there are no other shows I know of. Any others I might be missing?

I just caught the last 10 minutes of the show. So far it looks like its all about chainsaw carvers. They had a nice large driftwood stump with a momma and baby killer whale on top. I thought it was very nicely done. Go to Velocities website, you might be able to watch the videos right from their website.

Here's a preview. It has the killer whale carvings in it. A lot of nice pieces.

The series aired some time ago on one of my cable channels. Seems like they only did one season. At least these guys are not quite as dysfunctional and moronic as most of the other reality type shows, Swamp People, Moonshiners, Duck Dynasty, American Chopper, Storage Wars, Hardcore Pawn, Gold Rush, the list goes on. Where do they find these idiots? Some are funny like Duck Dynasty and Moonshiners but most of the rest are nothing more than grown men having hissy fits like 4yr. olds. I would hate to think about non Americans seeing these shows and thinking that these reflect anything in a normal workplace. At least Saw Dogs have some competent artisans but they had to add the young doofus to screw things up. Entertainment? Maybe for some, reality? Not that I've ever seen. Northwoods Law on the other hand is actually how it is.

This is a show that I'll watch just to see the art. The more I focus on that the less drama I notice. I agree with most of reality Tv shows but I do like gold rush. I'm hoping they drop Todd n Dave takes over the show. But anyway I live in an area that has a lot of really fine chainsaw artist. I love seeing rustic art and nature combined. Our local chainsaw carving place had a really beautifully done hand carved set of 3 wall panels that depicted a buck in the woods jumping over a barbed wire fence. A lot of fine detail in that piece.

Hey swizzle, this show has been on for awhile now.
I started a thread on it back in jan 2012.
You can see it on this link.
Haven't seen any new ones though.
