rrbrown is in the ER

Rich (rrbrown) a member and mod here stopped by my shop yesterday to pick up some turning blanks and a small burl I had set aside for him...

Well, he just txt'd me saying he must have been bitten by a spider while there (like my shop is the only place with spiders ) because he's in the ER right now being he's allergic and they make him very sick (never heard of antigens making you sick as opposed to an airway issue.)

So anyways, he's in the ER, but doing fine. So wish him luck and that he doesn't end up in ICU again... and don't give him any free wood :smile:

Thoughts and prayers!

You know, a wood shop is full of spinning things, blades, power tools....and gets bit by a spider.

Shop Dad 07-27-2012 12:46 AM

All the best for a speedy recovery Rich. HEAL!

JohnK007 07-27-2012 12:52 AM

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Rich!! I friggin hate arachnids.

johnnie52 07-27-2012 01:16 AM

All my best wishes for a speedy recovery. Ive heard of folks being allergic to lots of different bug bites. My daughter swells up like a balloon if bitten by an ant. For me its bee strings.

Just killed my 4th black widow in 2 years in my shop.
I try to make it a point to look before I grab, but... we all know how that is.
Get well soon rr, firemedic is making sure there's always work for him.

autre 07-27-2012 02:01 AM

Hang in there, Rich.

sawdustfactory 07-27-2012 02:04 AM

Get well soon Rich. Get yourself some bug repellant ;-)

cabinetman 07-27-2012 05:43 AM

Sorry to hear the news. But, Rich is tough, and will survive. It's not much of a warning, but I read somewhere that no matter where you are, you are within 8' of a spider.

I know Rich is tough as nails, but how's the spider doing?

firemedic 07-27-2012 08:43 AM

I haven't heard from him since yesterday eve, but I'm sure he's fine. I'll check on him later today so I don't wake him up...
