Quality tools ??

I know to look for stanley planes and I am quite happy with grizzley and jet power tools.What I want to know is the best brands of other tools like flush cut saws and dados and such..........oh and most of all chisels!!!!!!!

That's sort of like asking "what's the best color?". All depends upon your preference, what kind of work you do, what kind of material you work with, your skill level, etc. I watched a demo by Rob Cosman (hand tool guru). He advised against most Japanese style tools due to the types of wood he works versus what the Japanese typically use. I love my japanese chisels and would put up almost the same amount of fight to keep them as those who say you can have my gun when you can pry it from my cold dead fingers.

That bowl was perfect right up until that last cut...

I was more or less looking for name brands so I dont pass up any deals at the flea market or even worse buy some crap....lol
