Project ideas needed

This may be one of those situations where my enthusiasm for an idea was bigger than my ability...

For my upcoming wedding, my better half suggested that I make a unique gift for each member of the wedding party. With plenty of time and ideas to spare I jumped in with both feet, and in truth I've had a lot of fun with the project. However, I find myself rapidly running out of time and still one groomsmen gift short. I have exhausted my ideas and store of designs for keepsake boxes, turned pens, puzzle boxes, custom made game boards, butcher blocks, beer/whiskey related gifts, wall hangings and picture frames, but am still struggling to come up with a relatively quick and easy gift idea.

So I'm curious, as a matter of discussion, what gifts would you gentlemen (or ladies) like to recieve if you were in such a wedding party? Or are there any quick and easy projects you would suggest for a groom in a time crunch?

The silver lining to all this is that I've been excused from discussions on floral arrangements, thank goodness...

"I was going for rustic" is just my way of saying I screwed the pooch on the finish...

Theres other turned items, like razors, maybe a bullet pen. Looks at Penn States online catalog for ideas. If its the right person you could build him a nice looking box of clues. Then theres little puzzle items like the cube in a cube and the impossible nail trick which can be seen on Steve Ramseys youtube channels.

Possibly look at the clock kits and build something nice as the clock face?

Measure twice cut once, then cut again because you still have not figured out how to cut on the line.

If you are looking for quick and easy, what about a nice clock? You could make a wall or mantle clock, for example. You can use a very simple, err, "elegant" design ... or get as fancy as time allows.

make an elegant walking cane

Ebay has some cane kits:

The answer to your question will only be as detailed and specific as the question is detailed and specific. Good questions also include a sketch or a photo that illustrates your issue. (:< D)

I think it would be cool to receive

Nice butcher block (maybe with a steak to go with it!)
A turned bowl with a live edge for putting my keys etc into

Also any thing that has a personalized touch like the year or your names and date
