Project challenge... (question about rocking horse)
I'm currently building a rocking horse for a friends daughter who turns 2 in a couple weeks. I'm almost done with it, with the exception of installing the mane and tail.
I don't want to "kill" the project with a poorly done hair-do. Any suggestions out there on how to make this part look good.
The horse is made out of solid mahogany, with inlaid bridle and a hand carved saddle. I don't have pictures to post yet, but will soon.
I have a lot tied up in this thing and don't want to ruin it at this point. Any/all help is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!
Richard

If you can get ahold of Woodsmith Issue #65 they show how to attach good looking mane and tail. I know because I built probably twenty of these. It's dated 1989.
