Problem with polyresin

I poured polyresin but my stool I had the table top on was not level. It's also possible that when we spread the resin that the edges built up against our tape edge. Either cause we have a raised edge now around nearly the entire round table top. Company for product said I can sand with 1500-2000 grit but it wont look like the originsl pour even if polished. Should I just repour, insuring my support system is actually level? The missus didn't want a thick pour but I need to fix this raised edge.

If you use a micromesh wet sanding set you can polish the polyresin to a glassy finish. You are going to have to cut, sand or file the lip down even with the rest of the pour then polish with succesive grits until the shine comes back. Good luck!
