Question polyurethane vertical applications

Good afternoon, I have some logs that i would like to fill with polyurethane. I have tried it a couple times and i can't seem to stop the urethane from leaving air bubbles. I would also like to consider some options to do all 4 sides at once. I have cut the logs into 10" x 10" pieces about 20" tall.

Any recommendations on how i should go about adding the polyurethane simultaneously to every side and how to prevent/fill the bubbles?

Thank you for the assistance.

The bubbles are created by applying the finish too thick. When brushing any oil based finish apply it as thin as you can with as few strokes as possible.
