Last year I replaced three 4x4 posts when I also replaced the front porch and walk. The new posts are not wood but polyethylene with a pipe center for support. I had a hose bib and AC outlet attached to the former end post and need to put something in the ground to do the same thing for me. I was hoping someone would have some suggestions or know of something simple I can do.
I was thinking of a pressure treated 4x4 in cement but I would like to find something easier and simpler if possible.
not too much easier than getting a square PVC over for a P/T post
and embedding that into concrete. put one of those fancy PVC
post caps on it and you will be talk of the neighborhood.
Still haven't figured out what to do. The water is routed through a plastic hose so of no use for grounding. The wire that's out there has been dead for years but was rediscovered when the new apron was installed. My guess is it's not to code even though it still has a breaker associated with it. The hose bib is more important than power but I still need to find a solution for some sort of post.
