To our friends in the Southern Hemisphere

Now Spring is finally coming to us in the Northern Hemisphere. (USA and others). For so long we have endured snowstorms, torrential rains, mudslides, ice storms etc. It has been very bad here. It seems to me that the Southern Hemisphere, (Aus, NZ, Peru, etc.) may be in for the same thing. Please be aware and make arrangements. Our prayers are with you. We only care.

The worst thing you can do to a piece of wood is
....get blood on it.

Thanks Durdy ,
good to have another heads up.

We have had some heavy weather already this autumn here in NZ .
Two lots of torrential rain/windstorms last month , one a two day marathon , and the other a one dayer .
Here in Canterbury they caused even greater flood damage than they would have a few years ago .
Earthquake damaged storm drains and roads in some areas resulted in serious partial flooding .
And in others , with the land having subsided to near sea level , (Christchurch City has dropped by 20 to 30 centimetres in many places and, in others, by quite a lot more) , extensive flooding and building damage (more condemned buildings and insurance claims ) caused yet more distress .

I'm glad that after 3 years of temporary accommodations , (approx. 12 moves ) , I've found a place 20 miles out of town , (one that does not flood), and I have all my possessions in one place again , sawmill and lathe included
