Need router jig help

I'm by no means good or even decent at using a router but it's necessary for projects.
The issue I'm having is jigs I haven't a clue what or how to make one to do certain things. I'm building a bench top organizer and wanted to set the second shelf at 18degree angle on a 1x6. Setup takes forever and want a jig to reduce setup time. It's an unexposed dado joint a 1/4 depth on both ends.
Sorry I will provide pictures later.
Thanks in advance.

A picture would be good.

By "unexposed dado" do you mean a stopped dado, i.e., the dado stops before the front edge?

You just need like a "T" where the vertical piece if glued onto the horizontal piece at 18 deg.

Lay this on a piece of scrap, then run the router at depth. You will now have a marker of where the bit will cut on the horizontal piece.

Place this on the back edge of your 1x6 and you should find it a fast setup.
