My Christmas Cutting Boards...
Well, I finished up my gifts a few hours before they were needed. This year I wanted to justify the acquisition of many cool toys (Dewalt 735 Planer, Grizzly 6" Parallel Jointer, Craftsman 10" Contactors Saw, etc) by making some of my gifts.
Wood is Black Walnut, Red Oak, & White Oak. I was able to get all wood either from Craigslist or at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore for $1.75-$2 BF. Not bad since the BW was S3S @ 3/4 and the Oaks was all S2S @ 5/4.
I made a few errors, but its my first "glue" project since High School wood shop in 1988 so I'm pretty happy.
Now, time to figure out how to afford a DC unit (those toys generate a lot of dust and waste) and move on to another project. I have a few ideas. I'd like to find a nice corner electric fireplace design that will fit my 55" tv.
