Post motorcycle lift table

can any one tell me what wood is best for building a motorcycle lift table for servicing my bike and friends bike's in lock up garage

The species of wood wouldn't matter but the construction details would.

+1 on the wood species. Many choices. Frequently it is based on availability and budget.

Douglas fir or spruce are common construction lumber.

I would prefer to use ash or white oak, but this is personal preference.

The bigger issue is the design. I have seen very few benches which can be easily raised or lowered by a single person.

This is one - but it is not intended for getting a motorcycle on or off.

Your design may need ride on/ride off.

You may be better off with a manufactured item using steel and hydraulic lift, like this one.

You could easily build a bench to be at the side of the metal lift to hold tools, parts etc.
