micro adjust router table fence?

I've been playing with my refurbished router table and have discovered how incredibly difficult it is to dial the fence to bit distance with any accuracy. I've seen the Incra positioner thingies and they're beautiful but overkill and $$$. Has anyone here made their own fence with some kind of screw adjuster?

Check out Al B Thayer's thread on micro adjustment. He did a nice one.

The Incra fences are only overkill if you don't need or want one. I love my Twin Linear.

I agonized over microadjustments for awhile but after thinking it through, I found a set of stop blocks work just fine. I set up the stop blocks and, depending on which way I want to move the fence, I loosen either the fence or the stop blocks, insert a shim of the desired amount of movement and tighten everthing back up.... Easy, peezy and can get down the thinnest feeler guage you have, in my case, .001. Also about as cheap as it gets

to reset the fence is better to make templates. like a jig, using the slot parallel to the fence, a strip of hardwood that fits in there and a piece of wood to use as a stop for the distance to that slot.
I dont know if you can picture it, but that is how i set up coping knives in the same shaper.
