Looking for a Fidget Toy Idea

A friend was talking about the fidget cube that is currently being pushed on kickstarter - see link.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...vinyl-desk-toy

Does anyone have any ideas for a wood version of a fidget tool/toy/mechanism? Ideally, it would be something that you can hold in your hand and preferable entirely made from wood.

Thanks,
Mark

I think a round baton about 3 inches long and 3/4 inch in diameter would do the trick. You can twirl it on your fingers, rap it on a desk etc. :)

Like a pen...lol. Actually, I was thinking along the same lines. Maybe have a rubber button or switch on one end that does nothing. BTW, I want something quiet - no rapping it on the desk!

I'm 57 ... and to this day, I can still sit there and watch a well-shaped, good looking top spin for, well, longer than I should.
Rodrat likes this.

I've gone out to find myself. If I return before I get back, have me wait for me.

I made a couple of them last year. The first video is the wood version. The other two videos are 3D prints.

One of the scroll saw guys on one of the scroll forums made a nice one.. I think it was Steve Good if I'm not mistaken.. Try googling Steve Good fidget spinner..
Never mind..I think he deleted it, but he did make one I'm pretty sure..

I figured it's time to change my signature so hold your breath. This is it.
Impressive, huh?
