The Long Road Home - Dad's Old Cabinet Bench

A few weeks ago I traveled back east for Memorial Day and to bring home some of my Dad's things from his old shop. His cabinet bench is a real treasure to me and its nice to have it here in my shop now.

What are your prized treasures that have been handed down from that special person who started you on the woodworking path?

Sorry for your loss. Dads are very special. I lost my dad about 35 years ago. Your work bench will be a continued reminder of your times with him. I'm sure you will pass it down.

Mine left me a few pocket knives that he had as a Boy Scout. They are very special to me.

Sorry for your loss too C-Man. I bet the memories at 35 years are just a vivid as mine at less than one.

Dad gave me this old Boy Scout knife back when I was about 9 or 10. I don't use it much but it's always been in my toolbox or handy on the self all these years.
