Just one of the many uses for handscrew clamps

Forget my use of the bench as a cat food storage repository.. It's temporary..trust me..

I have always had a problem with drilling dowel holes in certain pieces clamped to a face vice unless at some odd angle especially since the dowel jig overhangs on both sides so enter the handscrew clamp with the face vice which works splendidly and leaves room for the clamping part of the jig to do its job..
I'm sure you probably have plenty of other uses for these old style clamps, but this is just one of them you may or may not find helpful.. Mine are the cheapo HF models, but they do the job just the same.
