Jorgensen 64027 Miter Saw
I got a great deal ($25) on a Jorgensen miter saw the other day. I am pretty sure from picture surfing on the web that it is a 64027. Only problem(s) I have is it did not come with the owners manual and it cuts about 1° off of vertical. The first would not be an issue if not for the second problem. 1° is not much if you are cutting trim for a baseboard but if I am trying to use it for miters for picture frames.
I like to cut and flip so that even if the 45° off by a bit when you flip the cut off piece they still come out at 90°. That works well but I have a gap from the back to the front (top to bottom laying on the table).
It looks like there could have been set screws provided for this but they are not there. I tried shimming the blade supports with no success..
Hoping someone here has the same saw or a similar one who can tell me how to adjust this.
