How do you guys & gals make arches?

Iím just curious how the rest of the world makes arches, I use a calculator. It has always been the easiest way for me to find the radius of the circle or segment that I have to cut out. It really works! If any one is interested, I did a write up on how it works for me at my website at www.woodworkingtipsfrompop.com

I do know in new homes arches are made with using those bendable soft wood or composite stuff. Then paint over it. the backing is solid [behind the bending item]. I know cuz I've seen this before the finsihed product[home].

When I get a scanner some may like to see the framing members of a house coming together when I post those.

I use a simple CAD to find segments of arcs, 3rd side length of angles, etc.
