hourly shops

Hey Guys,

I live in the richmond tx area and i was looking for a sawmill/woodshop that take on hourly work. i have a 2x4 laminate bench top that i would like to have run through a big planer or drum sander or something to level it out, i have done this by hand in the past but i would much rather find a shop and pay 50$ or whatever they would charge to help me out. its about 30 inches deep and 7 feet long fyi, if anyone knows of a place that takes small side jobs like this please let me know

I don't know about your area, but here, pretty much any shop large enough to have a wide belt sander, or planer/sander, will run pieces through it for an hourly rate, with a minimum charge. (usually half hour's time) I would suggest just calling local shops and asking, you're bound to find one or more. The usual rate here is around $70/hour, with a $35 minimum fee.
