Hinge help needed

Being out of my league here I need some help with hinges for a small box. From what I've seen, most overlay or similar type hinges are designed for 3/4" material. I have 1/2" material on a frameless box. I need a hinge for my situation and can't find it (see link to sketch). Does the hinge in my sketch exist and if so where do I go to get it? Thanks for your help!!

If it were me I would just some small butt hinges. There isn't any reason to wrap around the inside side of the box.

How about these hinges. Nothing fancy, but very clean looking.

Thanks...I had thought about something like a piano hinge, just wasn't sure how well the screws would hold up in the edge of 1/2" plywood. I will probably end up doing some sort of butt hinge.

Plywood should hold the hinge screws alright if the box isn't abused. If you want to go to the trouble you might drill a bigger hole and glue a wooden dowel where the hinge screws go.

Are you making a box where the edges of the plywood are exposed?

Yes, but the box is for storage, nothing special, just didn't want a hinge that falls apart.

How about putting a hardwood edge on your plywood then you can use any kind of hinges you want without screwing into the plywood edge. Might even hide the plywood edge and make it look better. Seems far easier than gluing in a bunch of dowels.

Good point, thanks Terry. A strip of hardwood could dress it up.
