Help with wood variety

Hello all , I am new to the forum and have a question.

I am looking to identify the specific wood I have here , It is a book stand and is made of what looks to be some kind of hard wood , Teak ?

I believe you're working with 2 different species of wood. the ends. 3 possible options come to mind. Mulberry, osage orange, or Locust. I'm leaning towards locust. All three of those woods are yellow when cut & turn orange with time. It's crotch wood & after giving another look another wood comes to mind as a possiblility. Catalpa.

The horizontals, look like hickory.
