HELP! Marita Track Saw Setup Problem

Hello all! Please forgive my newness but I'm having trouble setting up my Makita track saw for the first time. When I get the saw seated correctly in the track the blade hits the rubber on the end of the track. I cannot for the life of me seem to figure out why. This is my first time using the saw. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Please see image showing the blade hitting the rubber.

Thank you!

That's how it should be. Once you have the saw set up so there is no play in it when it slides back and forth, you then cut through the rubber. This way you know exactly where the blade will hit. After that, you just line up the guide on your marks and you'll get a very precise cut.
