Have a problem moving 1/8 material on your scroll saw?

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but thought I would mention it.

I had problems moving 1/8 plywood on my scroll saw when using a sprial blades. There just isn't much to grab onto while sawing, so I got some of those two sided sticky things that people use to hang things. The ones that will release when you pull the tab.

I put them on top of my cutting material, and on the top side I put water bottle
lids (doesn't have to be water bottle lids). Now it's easy to move the material
around any way I want it.

It's just a thought, but it works.

I don't do much scroll sawing but it sounds like a good idea.

Not a bad idea at all. I usually don't have too much of a problem moving stock around on a scroll saw, but I do find that after I get some of the fretwork cuts done, it does help to have the holes to get a better grip with my fingers. Good tip Cutting Fool.

There is a very fine line between a "hobby" and a "mental illness"
