Opinions

$29 per year and this program gets you better deals on than their regular coupon. Come with an instant $10 gift card.

Anyone use this or can speak to the deals it offers.

This interested me as well so I googled it.
There are plenty more opinions on google.

I searched on YouTube for harbor freight inside track club and saw somebody that's posted some videos of the monthly deals. Seems there are some decent deals.

It's only $29.00. What have you got to lose?

On the other hand, if you only buy one or two things a year from them, then your wasting money.

What do you expect to spend a year at HF?

Just like any other membership, you have to apply the anticipated savings, against the anticipated spend, then decide if it is worth it.

I do this every year for our Sam's Club membership, much like Costco.

Sam's Club ... I save enough in gasoline to offset the membership.
100 miles a day, round trip for work when I am home.
There's a S.C. right by work and it's always 10 cents or more cheaper than anywhere else.

Shoot Summ's reasoning is correct ... will you buy enough for your extra savings to offset the cost of membership?

That's it.

Funny though, even with your mileage, that .10 only translates into $125-$150 a year depending on what kind of MPG you get. Still money saved, but not really a huge savings.

Calculation

100mi round trip/20mpg = 5 gallons

5 gallons * .10 = .50 a day

estimate 250 or so days driven = $125

Like I said though money saved, is money saved, and like you said, the saved money alone offsets the membership cost.

Since membership is only $35.00 a year, I am still saving close to $90.00. And that's before including Wife's fuel, which is also purchased at Sam's.
