Air circulation is always an issue. But its one factor iv never been able to do much about. Mainly since living in NJ or PA, 3/4 of the year i need the AC running for them to keep em at a safe temperature. So its not to often i get to open the windows and try and circulate the air. Right now, with 6 double ferret nation cages in the bedroom.. they cover every area of wall. So i have to move cages around just to get to a window. And even then it would be a direct draft on them which isnt good. - The basement has smaller windows then the above floors of a house, but at least there is more room. So i will have access to the windows.
The painting right now is only for the door/door frame. It came already primed but they demand a coats on paint on it or it voids the warranty. Since i have a few pieces of PT lumber for the floor plates drying out down there, it seemed like a good time to do it. No point in building the room and then painting the door where it would be harder to air out.
I guess that gives you an idea of how hecktick my mind is lately. I didnt think to check a lumber yard until after i already got most of my materials. Which is a really sad statement to make. I was hoping to have all my planing done before getting the materials. (most of it is tho.) But its already the middle of December, and when the guy with a truck drives an hour down here to help me, i certainly dont say no. I also have zero desire to get materials when its going to be around 5 degrees out side, windy, snowy, icy etc... So yea. I already picked up a lot of materials including 2x4s, 2x6s, purple board drywall, and fiber glass insulation rolls. - Not exactly stuff i can fit in the back seat of my car.
