Filling in a carving

Hey all,
I am wanting to do a carving on a stool seat, once done I want to feel it in and the put a nice coat of lacquer over it. can I feel in the carving with lacquer and let it dry with out it making a mess

Yes you could feel every bit of the carving with lacquer. For what you are doing you would be better off using a pour on epoxy finish.

I think the OP's spell check got him??? I believe he means "fill" not feel. That said, I agree with Steve. Level the stool's seat with clear epoxy.
