Unhappy Delta Planer Belt Problem

My belt flies off after 10 or so minutes. Gets hot. Belt crimps and is not reusable.
Nut on cutter shaft is loose afterwards.

What model do you have? I don't think there is a belt anywhere on my Delta Planer. I do have problems with it falling apart. Better get some threadlock.

Loose nut is probably allowing pulley misalignment that friction heats the belt. Threadlock or a second setscrew behind the first if depth allows it, whatever it takes to make the parts stay put.

Gees, mine is a 22-560 too and I've never seen the belt before. If you look at the bracket that holds the motor there is an elongated screw hole which you can use to tighten the belt. I suspect there is something on the other side as well but I didn't take that cover off.

Steve, I did not know there is an adjustment for belt tension. Mine is so tight that I have to heat the belt to be able to get it on. That may be aggravating the problem in addition to the loose pulley bolt.
Can you shoot me a picture of the adjustment screw or describe where it is located?
