Nice find, and if you could only outfit your entire shop at those prices that would be great!

I bought mine 30 years ago for $650 I think. It kills me to think they're going for that cheap, but congrats to you!

I haven't seen this one for less than 500 so don't feel bad...not bad for 30 years.

I was at an auction earlier this year where they had an earlier model of that saw - just needed new tires and it only went for $5. I didn't have a way to get it home at the time so I passed in it but still kicking myself for not bidding on it...

I have the lesser version with 0.5 HP. I got it for free from my dad, so I shouldn't complain, but any degree of resawing is a painful ordeal. I have to do REALLY slow, or the saw will stall. Hopefully an additional 50% power makes a difference for you. I strongly suggest a 3 TPI 1/2" blade for any resaw work. It'll have an ugly finish, but if won't be as much of a chore.

It shouldn't be too hard to swap out for a bigger motor in that saw. The frame is rigid enough to handle a blade and motor for light resawing.
