That's pretty vague. We need more info about on what you want?
Actually better yet, why don't you go back and introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about who you are and the type of furniture you like or want to make.
Welcome.

The answer to your question will only be as detailed and specific as the question is detailed and specific. Good questions also include a sketch or a photo that illustrates your issue. (:< D)

Personally I prefer two smaller tables instead of one big table.

Hi Pinepain,

You haven't specified;
length
height
type of "storage"
wood,
tools you have at hand,
Joinery you can handle,
finish you want,

Maybe you could just go to Ikea or Walmart and buy a prefab table?

It turned out to be a beautiful day here. Got in 18 holes of golf this morning and now I have a picture of the two small tables. These were probably the first furniture pieces that I built many, many years ago.

I like coffee tables aa bit higher than usually built. At 23-25 inches it is more comfortable to read or eat at the table. It's not as good for a foot stool like many are.
I'm not sure how the name coffee table came to be but it was probable for serving not drinking coffee.
I also like drawers in the ends or somewhere to keep a few things that often clutter the table.
It should be a good project: there are lots of options.

I used to live right across Blackwater bay south of Milton till we lost our house in Ivan. We have a house in Pensacola but we live mostly in Elberta, AL to be closer to my wife's job. I'm mostly retired so it doesn't matter much where I live, lol.
