Can't afford decent tools?

After reading another post on here about this issue I recalled a thread I saw on here a while back about people using HF coupons at places like home depot and lowe's.

I recently tried this with great success. I had been eyeing a ROS
I talked to a gentleman in the tool dept and let him know I wanted to buy one of their products of their competitor, HF. He asked to see what I was interested in and with little hesitation offered me %50 off. Now, it was over-priced at home depot at $80 (as you can see compared to $60 online with free shipping). But at $40 I couldn't beat it.

I wouldn't expect this treatment on every item, but just to let you all know, even the big box stores will negotiate prices sometimes. If you don't ask, the answer is always no!
