Does anyone know where I can purchase the blades for wooden breadknives. I believe they are actually 10 1/2 inch sections of 3/8 bandsaw blades drilled on both ends to attach to the knife when completed. I cannot seem to find an outlet that would provide them. thank you
Try to find anyone locally who is using a bandsaw. It is almost a given that they will have some broken blades. You might need a special drill bit to drill the holes for the handle, as the steel is quite hard.
I don't know where you are located but I would give away some broken fanged snakes we have. I think they are 12' long, and yes, they have a few bends in them.
Like Gerry said - check with a few of your local bandmill operators. They will usually give them away.
