Hey guys! I recently bought a Gerton Ikea table top (it's beech wood). I wanted to finish it with a coat of Watco Danish oil cuz I really like the natural look. I sanded the table top to 220 and put on a coat, wiped it off after 15mins and put on another coat. It felt a bit grimy so I sanded it down after 8 hours and now it's all patchy. Any ideas on how I can save this? Do I need to sand it down further? Or would another coat work? Any help "wood" be much appreciated! Cheers!
