Talking Black Oak

Hi guys, i'm new here, and i don't know where to write it.
My name is Daniel Zygmunt, im 20y old guy from Poland.
Basicly, im here to find some more informations about Black Oak.
Last time i found some of it deep under the ground (like 5 - 7 meters under ground) near to river Wisłok (Basin of main river of Poland Wisła) and, probably a lot of years back in time there were this river.
Like now, i have more/less 18m of this material, and i'm tring to find how much it is valuable, and where i can sell it because i'm not lumber or carpenter.
For now, i know it is valuable, and it need to be prepared in special ways. Thats all i know.

If you guys know something, please write it.
Soon i will add some photos.

And Ps.: Sorry for my not really perfect english

I have never heard the term black used to describe it. Are you talking about bog wood?

I don't know much about pricing but if you do a search for bog wood on Etsy.com you can find a lot of people selling it. That might give you a better idea.

Send the pictures to a lumber mill in your area to get an estimate.
The wood must be first milled into lumber to become useful. A lumber mill should be able to give you an estimate.

If you don't have time to do it right the first time, when will you have time to do it over?

You are going to have to find sources in Poland to give you pricing data. Most people on this board are in the US and could have no idea of prices in Poland.

I would check more than lumber yards for what the wood is worth. Look for places that would be the users of the wood. Then can give you an idea of what the wood is worth to them. Much of the worth will depend upon the size of the individual pieces.

Do you know that this wood is OAK? Sinkers in this country come in many different varieties and the value varies dependent upon the species of tree.

Good luck.
