Where in the world do you guys get your lumber? I have only found commercial lumber yards and box stores.

I have seen a few places online, only been to one in person. Here's a list:

http://hardwoodproductscompany.com/
http://www.brazosfp.com/
http://www.clarkshardwood.com/ - This is the one I went to, from what I hear it's somewhat expensive.

Scoot on up I-45 to Huntsville and check out M and G as well...

http://www.mgsawmill.com/

Also keep your eyes on Craigslist. There are often deals there...

Interested in my woodworking, workshop and whatnot? See http://daves-workshop.blogspot.com, want to see my other interests such as hunting, fishing, off roading, and camping? See http://wildersport-outdoors.blogspot.com

.

they aren't always open on weekends, their website says by appointment on saturdays. I've looked at them but haven't shopped there yet. they are open from 9 to 12 this weekend I'm gonna try to make id down and pick up a few boards

I live about 2 hours north of Houston, but it would be worth the drive down to Huntsville

Try Mason's Mill; NW Houston off Hempstead on Tanner just east of Gessner.

http://www.masonsmillandlumber.com/

Biggest drawback is they are a Mon-Fri yard. They will sell to hobbyists/DIY'ers though.

If your website prices are accurate then I really need to head down and talk to you. $.60/bf for red or white oak? That's fantastic. Is this dried or green?

it's air dryed down to about 10 to 11 % I have alot of white oak and the red oak is mixed in with it. I bought some sodium nitrate to spray on the oak and if the oak turns black then its not red oak.
I will be going and getting more Red Oak on Feb 2nd and will be cutting all Red Oak and Holly so if you would like fresh cut lumber and FAS on Sat let me know.
Thanks

I'm confused. The website says your in Port Lavaca. That is no where near Houston. That is one hefty drive. How are you getting the wood to buyers in Houston?

Liked the website though.

We do not deliver they pick it up at Rye Texas are they drive down to Port Lavaca and pick it up. .60 cents a board foot is worth the drive I have had woodworkers come down from Austin, San Antonio , Corpus Christy and they have all said it was a trip worth making. I have driven all the way to Mt. Pleasant before to find wood and that was one heck of a drive but it was worth it.

You know, I just may be in the market for mobile media services in the near future.

Unfortunately, since you thought it was a good idea to spam marketing drivel on a completely unrelated forum, I'll make sure that Precise Mobile Media stays off the short list of firms I would consider dealing with.

Is it worth spending money on these viral campaigns only to chase off potential clients?
