Adjustable table

So I was asked to build a unique project. I need a little help. This table needs to slide under a bed when done. Can someone suggest a design change that would allow this? Thanks ahead of time.

Not knowing the dimensions of that "table" or the allowable height/width under your bed, it would be difficult to give a good re-design answer. Looks similar to a weight lifting "work-out bench". Be safe.

I haven't made this so the dimensions could be a little different. I think it would be approx 48" long by 24" wide by 30" tall. The knee part could be removed and set aside. I am mainly wanting the bench part to collapse. Thanks again.

Also I would think it could collapse to about the height of the 2x4. Completely flat.
