Glad to see its better for you now. If you get any more popups please continue to provide the required information and we'll get rid of it for you.

I agree, the frequency of the pop ups is much less, however when they do occur now they are also hijacking the browser history. Clicking on the back button brings up the iPhoneX advertisement. Going back several entries in the history labeled as Woodworkingtalk pages redisplays the ads. I find it easier to close the session and start over with a new session.

My thanks to those working to clean up the forum. Iím sure itís not easy.

Unrelated, but sometime in the past year I've been getting these ridiculous full screen pop ups on my phone and it doesn't matter what site or app I'm using. I suspect it's tapped in from some garbage app I downloaded at some point.
I'm going to spend a day sorting out and keeping the stuff i want to keep and going through the whole back to factory settings thing..
Sounds like fun no?

I figured it's time to change my signature so hold your breath. This is it.
Impressive, huh?

@allpurpose most sites and apps these days have many pop-up ads. Are you using an Apple device?
Alright, keep us posted please!

seems it's people using smart phones that are getting whacked by these. the browser identifies itself to the site - looks like the malware popup cretins have found (any number?) of weakness in the "mobile" versions allowing them free reign on the screens.

are you blocking anything with "landingpage" language - that one tip off for redirections.

Hello there,

Usually, Apple devices are the one that is whacked with the pop-ups. The reason is that of the iOS software.
I believe users don't get this problem on desktops, but correct me if I'm wrong.
Keep us posted on these ads and we'll get it blocked :)

Best regards,

Ed

These ads are getting out of control since yesterday. I can only ready the forum for a few minutes and they pop up. Another new address.

Popups are getting real bad on this ipad. Seeing them on other sites now, do these things leave cookies so they can follow you around?

No, they're actually an industry wide problem, I even get them on news sites or ebay

We report them as we get them to try and fight it
