No idea on mobile. On a computer it's easy. Click 'Go Advanced' below, choose the paper clip, browse to your photos, then hit the dropdown beside the paper clip to insert them where you want.

I use an iPad to access this site and post pictures. Here is a procedure I use to get pics to show up on this site properly. First do some sort of edit. I usually crop the photo a little bit. I then save it to my OneDrive account but I think any other location than the default photo folder would work. Create your post and insert edited photo that you just saved. Seems like a lot of extra work but it is the only way I can post pics that arenít thumbnails and sideways or upside down.

No recreation yet, but I haven't had a chance to test with iphone yet, just Android.

When you upload, do you use the Enhanced Mobile View or the Desktop View of the site?

Which the switched view, when you've uploaded the image, try clicking on the paperclip icon again to insert inline with your post.

Example -

FYI: I click the paper clip then select my photo. Once the thumbnail loads you have two icons below the thumbnail. One is an x to delete and the other will attach the photo to the post. Simple.

welcome to the forum.
posting photos is an ongoing challenge.
please tell us what computer/phone and operating system
you are using.
I work strictly with a Dell laptop - never on a phone.
so my way is much different than others.
I like to drag the photo to the box, hold it there until the
box has a green ring around it, then let go.
I do all the sizing, cropping and orientation before I drag it.

.

I am a painter: that's what I do, I like to paint things.

Here are some photo posting tips if you’re taking photos with your phone or iPad – the best way for proper orientation is to shoot landscape (widescreen). Rotate your phone or iPad CCW for proper orientation. If you want your photos to be portrait then open the photo in a viewer on your computer, rotate it to the orientation you want, then save it in that orientation. It will be correct when you upload it to the servers here. If you’re shooting video please shoot widescreen like our monitors, not portrait.

The best way to post photos in line with your text is to use Go Advanced below the Quick Reply window. If you’re starting a new thread then you’re automatically in the Advanced editor. Click on the Paper Clip on the ribbon bar and that will bring up a dialogue box where you can browse to your photos. Upload them and then put your cursor where you want a photo, hit the dropdown beside the Paper Clip, and choose the photo you want inserted. If you have several photos and just want them at the end of your text then put your cursor at the end and hit the Insert All on the dropdown list of photos.

Always post a photo rather than a link; most folks won't click on a link.

Hi John. Thanks for the welcome. I am strictly using a laptop with Win 10 OS. I too, wish to post the actual photo instead of a link that needs to be open. Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I am a retired machinist, so I never professed to have com skills. I need extreme details or I am lost.
