Jails And Nursing Homes

How about this scenario:
Let's put the seniors in jail and the criminals in nursing homes.

This would correct two things in one motion:

Seniors would have access to showers, hobbies and walks.

They would receive unlimited free prescriptions, dental and medical treatment, wheel chairs, etc.

They would receive money instead of having to pay it out.

They would have constant video monitoring, so they would be helped instantly if they fell or needed assistance.

Bedding would be washed twice a week and all clothing would be ironed and returned to them.

A guard would check on them every 20 minutes.

All meals and snacks would be brought to them

They would have family visits in a suite built for that purpose.

They would have access to a library, weight/fitness room, spiritual counseling, a pool and education...and free admission to in-house concerts by nationally recognized entertainment artists.

Simple clothing - i.e., shoes, slippers, pj's - and legal aid would be free, upon request.

There would be private, secure rooms provided for all with an outdoor exercise yard complete with gardens.

Each senior would have a P.C., T.V., phone and radio in their room at no cost.

They would receive daily phone calls.

There would be a board of directors to hear any complaints and the ACLU would fight for their rights and protection.

The guards would have a code of conduct to be strictly adhered to, with attorneys available, at no charge to protect the seniors and their families from abuse or neglect.

As for the criminals:

They would receive cold food.

They would be left alone and unsupervised.

They would receive showers once a week.

They would live in tiny rooms, for which they would have to pay $5,000 per month.

They would have no hope of ever getting out.

Does this sound like justice?

C-man that is BRILLIANT!

If I ran the prisons I would just open all the cells, let the gangs fight it out......last man standing goes free. Ya hear me Itchy? I'll bet you agree! bill

The answer to your question will only be as detailed and specific as the question is detailed and specific. Good questions also include a sketch or a photo that illustrates your issue. (:< D)

I hear ya Hahaha! This is what they get in California.

Two hot meals and a sack lunch a day.{They get actual meat about once a week and its chicken,and it aint tasty!}
A 5-10 min.shower every day, except on weekends, then its either Sat. or Sun. they get one.
A tv if they purchase it new from a certain commercial vendor. They used to have someone buy it and send it in but it was too good a place to hide dope in.
A walkman purchased the same way.
A phone call once a week if not on lockdown.
Yard time if they are willing to work and on off duty hours.
A legal library to fight their beef.
Canteen once a month if they have money on the books.
Access to a hobby shop.
A process to sue the state and the guards.
Conjugal visits.Three duplexes set up so they can reproduce.
I do think they get too much!Still wouldn't wanna be in there.
Some dont belong in there like a year for a marijuanna beef and its about $50,000 a year to keep them locked up,thats if they have no health issues.
Some with hepititus get $500.00 shots every day.
Its a zoo in there LOL!

***For the record*** Ive made hundreds of guitar bodies, never put one together and cant play a note.

I personally think the murders who are proved beyond a shadow of a doubt guilty should die immediately after conviction in the same manor as the crime they commited. Screw 30 year death row waits and humane deaths. Rapists should get Bubba's bigun daily and fix em before they are released.

Im with ya sky. There is a big problem in the country in that we have all these bleeding heart , mamby pambies livin here and in position of power. When ya work in a prison ya gotta put your personal feelings on hold.Nothing pisses ya off more than some chester[child molester],complaining that his rights are being violated because he missed his shower.Chesters are the biggest whiners in there!I've cuffed and escorted a dozen or so molesters to their parole hearings, half of them claimed it was the victims fault for dressing that way or they asked for it.I truly believe these type people have no soul. They are sociopaths, its someone elses fault. They dont value anyones life but their own.Working in there has given me an anger that will be with me for the rest of my days.

I truly believe that the worst of child molesters should be medically unable to do anything with their wankers other then take a piss. I don't mean the 19 year old guy who's 17 year old girlfriend's dad caught them doing the deed, but the guys caught with little kids. Juset cut it off. Problem solved. $20 for a knife and rubber band or countless millions to keep them in prison and pay the lawyers and all the other bullcrap for them to get out and do it again and kill their next victim to shut them up. I agree with the cutting off of hands for theft to. If we had more harsh punishment for these idiots they wouldn't do it. It would be easy to identify the guy missing a hand and keep him away from your place to.

$20 for a knife? Law enforcement has plenty of knives they have confiscated that can be used. That dull rusty one will do just fine.

CMan that ironically sounds like a good idea.

I've been saying for a long time that if they could spend the money they waste keeping prisoners on death row and letting them and back in like a revolving door they could take care of the elderly. Your idea puts that in perspective.

Itchy no offense, working in there and living in a state where apparently the majority of people are morons (company excluded) would have me going crazy.

I say the murder, rape/molesters, get a .45 to the head right after verdict. Thieves lose body parts, I bet the prison population drops considerably. That makes too much sense though.

Nate,I sure as heck aint offended,LOL All my and my wifes family all live in this sesspool of liberalism,so Im stuck here.Im not going to be ashamed of my conservatism nor expect liberals to be ashamed for their views. Its America. A lot of these criminals are no longer humans because they no longer have a soul. The way its set up is that it costs more to execute them than it does to just incarcerate them for life.Sad but true!I would like to see them get a choice at sentencing, either executions and their appeal process or life but a condemned mans program 23 hours a day in their cell and no appeals.Take your chances.Of course we can always say put them on the wall and shoot them but it aint just realistic in the land of nuts!
