Get the Word Out

I hate to say it but this forum is boring. We need to get the word out and get some fresh blood into the mix. Tell your friends and woodworkers. We have got to get more traffic in here. I visit another well established site and there is always something fresh on the forum. OK guys and gals, time to spread the word.

Well as has been mentioned before somewhere else this is a beta testing period. I don't know if I should say anything but on Monday this site is going live and alot of emails are going to be sent out. Traffic should pick up in the weeks to come just be patient. I believe we are all on the ground floor of something great.

Do one thing at a time, do it well, then move on.

I hope so Dave, I have a lot of knowledge and experience that I can share. I rarely have any problems I can't solve myself. I learned how to finish off of another woodworking forum, and I am currently active there. I was hoping to be helpful here too. If I have some questions/problems I will ask, but lately that seems rare. I hope things will pick up.

I'm kinda the same way. I usually don't have a problem I can't solve but love to help other people. I do however try to learn something new everyday.

Seeing as we are still in BETA. You should go over to http://www.woodweb.com and see how they run things. You might get some pointers or some suggestions on categories and stuff. This is the site I frequent when I first found online woodworkers help. I started on ContractorTalk when I was building a spray room in my shop and needed some structural information. Then I had fun listening to the banter that goes on here. They don't have an off topic forum on WoodWeb and don't really allow joking and stuff, strictly business. Most of the time that is good, but sometimes you need to let off steam and you just can't do it there. I hope you take a look at what they offer and I hope you can apply some of it over here.

I always though 'boring' was part of woodworking.

Maybe that Leo and Dave crowd don't know so much after all . . .

My problem is I don't know any other woodworkers. I tried to get the administrator on another forum to start a woodworkinjg forum because there were so many woodworkers on it but he was having none of that. If we could contact a few of those guys and get the word out I'm sure they would like to know about this place. Other than that possibility I have no ideas on how to help.
I'm sure this forum will grow all by itself I wouldn't worry about it too much.
