Keep your tools safely away from the edge of your bench, and hang on for the ride!

Hope everyone is safe.

Good luck and hold on tight!

The map says you are on the edge of it in Izmir. Epicenter of the 5.6 magnitude quake is near Akhisar, Turkey, which is 130 km (80 miles) from you.

It is notable that it felt so strong from that distance. We are way overdue for a big earthquake here in Southern California.

Glad you are ok. Stay safe faith.

Last earthquake of size I was in was a 6.8 called the Nisqually quake. Epicenter south of Seattle, WA. I was on the 22nd floor of a 76 story building in downtown Seattle when it hit. I can honestly say this is not where one should be in a large earthquake.

Faith Michel, be prepared, there will be aftershocks most likely.
My wife is in Puerto Rico where there has been several earthquakes over the past month or so.

faith michel - how are you there now ??
I see the news where things have gotten worse with the
aftershocks - I hope and pray it is all done now and you
and your family are okay and can return home.
