That bacon looks so much better than anything in the store.
After the meat companies make all the pretty packages of perfectly uniform bacon slices, they have all the end chunks
to deal with. We can buy that here as "cottage bacon," in 1kg/2.2lb packages for about $2.50/lb.
Lessee now: curried green beans with bacon, corn chowder, potato skins, split pea soup. . . . . . all chopped up anyway.
I refuse to pay top dollar for thick cut bacon for a fine dice, anyway.
